The guitarist/vocalist will not be touring with Fleetwood Mac on its upcoming world tour, according to a press release sent to USA TODAY by Kristen Foster, a representative for the band. 'Lindsey Buckingham will not be performing with the band on this tour,' the statement reads. 'The band wishes Lindsey all the best.' No reason was given.
Buckingham, 68, joined the group in 1974 with then-girlfriend Stevie Nicks, and has been its frequent frontman and sometime songwriter for most of the years since. He wrote and sang hits such as Go Your Own Way and Tusk.
